Join Lauhala Love for a beginner-friendly Lauhala Earring Workshop at the beautiful, lush grounds of YWCA Kokokahi in Kāneʻohe, Hawaiʻi.
In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn how to weave lauhala onto a beautiful pair of earrings while being introduced to the cultural practice of lauhala weaving. No prior weaving experience is necessary—all materials are provided, and everyone is welcome to come learn, create, and connect through this special ʻike kūpuna (ancestral knowledge).
Come spend a relaxing afternoon weaving, learning, and sharing in the spirit of aloha. This is a wonderful opportunity to explore the art of working with lauhala, create something beautiful with your own hands, and honor and perpetuate this cherished cultural practice. 🌺

Your workshop kit includes all the materials and supplies needed to create two lauhala earrings. You'll have the opportunity to learn, practice, and create wearable lauhala art to take home and enjoy.
Additional kits will be available for purchase following the workshop for $25 per kit. Each additional kit includes materials to create two earrings. Payment accepted by cash or Venmo.
Space is limited. All attendees must have a paid ticket to participate.

No recording eyewear will be allowed. See below policy.
Ages 16 and up. All keiki must have their own paid ticket and be accompanied by a paying adult.
Participating keiki must be able to follow verbal instructions to participate. Parents and guardians are asked to use their own discretion when determining whether the workshop is appropriate for their keiki.
To honor the cultural value of oral traditions and protect the privacy of all attendees, recording eyeglasses and all other recording devices are strictly prohibited at this event.
Attendees will be asked to remove any recording eyewear, so please plan accordingly. By attending, you agree to respect this policy and the privacy of everyone present.
